“Driving Through Marietta, Ohio” by Robert Bartusch

Fishing boat crosses
Under this bridge.
Rivertown houses,
Old gas stations.
Old men drink
Whiskey on their porches
Next to freshly cut flowers
That their wives put there.
Trees surround me,
So many potential stories here.
Drift
Through this pretty town,
I’m on my way to other places.
