Twinkle Toes

somedays the answering machine is full
email takes and hour to read over;
the mail lady brings good news.
But this is the exception,
not the rule.
Mostly, i'm in bed all day
combating fierce daydreams
wishing and wanting.
I am quite sure
that one day
it will all average out,
most likely
an hour or so
after I die.
