The Poet’s Haven Digest anthology series

Poet’s Haven Digest anthologies are not published on any set schedule. When enough material has been accepted to complete one of the anthologies, that submission call will be closed and the book will be published. Publication in this series pays one copy. Authors with work in an anthology can purchase additional copies at a 50% discount.

Submissions should be made either in the body of an e-mail or as a file attachment. Attachments should be either plain text (TXT), rich text (RTF), or Microsoft Word (DOC / DOCX) files. If a poem submission uses particular spacing or a layout that may be altered when a Word document is opened on another computer, you can also send an Adobe PDF file.

Unless noted otherwise, The Poet’s Haven is also seeking cover art for each of these anthologies. Submissions for possible cover art should be either JPG or PNG files, and should measure a minimum of 1275 pixels wide by 1650 pixels tall.

"We Only Come Out at Night"

THEME: VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES
The Poet's Haven is seeking poetry and short stories about vampires and werewolves for an upcoming Poet's Haven Digest publication titled "We Only Come Out at Night." We are NOT looking for sparkly teen angst melodrama "vampires." Vampires and were-creatures should be delightfully wicked.

Submissions should be sent to:

"Strange Land"

THEME: ALIENS
The Poet's Haven is seeking poetry and short stories dealing with our world as seen from an extraterrestrial perspective for an upcoming Poet's Haven Digest publication titled "Strange Land." We are not looking for alien-conspiracy type aliens, but rather work where extraterrestrials are among us, and how our world and culture looks to their alien eyes.

"The Distance Between Insanity and Genius"

THEME: VILLAINS
The Poet's Haven is seeking poetry and short stories dealing with villains and super-villains for an upcoming Poet's Haven Digest publication titled "The Distance Between Insanity and Genius." World domination schemes. Battles with a heroic nemesis. Remember, super-villains usually sees themselves as the heroes of their mis-adventures.

"Darker Than Fiction"

THEME: REAL EVIL
The Poet's Haven is seeking poetry and short stories dealing with real-world evils for an upcoming Poet's Haven Digest publication tentatively titled "Darker Than Fiction." Serial killers, terrorists, warlords, you name it. The characters too wicked to be fictional.

(This call was branched off from the villain theme call above. We've received a number of poems about monsters from the real world and decided that this theme needed its own anthology.)
