“Reform” by Eva Xanthopoulos

i am a crisis
a crying isis
walking on charred crucifixes
labeled "Virtues" and "Vices"
christ is somewhere in oblivion
buddha calls it nirvana
oblivious to evident
desire and wanting
and ego-flaunting
coursing through
veins like river swirling
into grand funnel-
mouthed goddess

i am chaos-
coated bullet
in the loaded
.357 magnum revolver
waiting to explode
out my egotisticals
much rather implode,
eyes have been
bruised and
over mis used
oozed out their
last ion of pigment

disintegration of shadow-self,
resurrection soon instigates.

heaven and hell gates
i break your doors

confinement no more,
revelation galore!
