“Ode to Reminiscence” by Daniel R Tardona

Blue mirrored pieces pierce
through my faint skin
feeling for fallacies.

Life
trampling loving shadows
as time soars quietly by
catching memories while
my ascending freedom

Falls
down Appalachian hollows, then
violins beckon my dull eardrums
to hear archaic

Silent
symphonic blues
remembering beach walks
and my hidden dreams of
forbidding vagaries

Each
smothering in shallow swales
as lies and bye's freeze
my dry sips
of pineapple cherry lips

Bitter
flavoring unsavory Sundays
that rust and dust daily
plunging my banded promises
revealing each remembered

Evening
disintegrating into celestial sighs
then, finally
sleep.
