“A Sky of Trees” by Leonard M Parks

A sky of trees umbrellas me,
I look into the night.
But clouds of leaves, will not concede
And hide you from my sight.

Five days behind, five nights ahead,
Till your eyes on me will land.
Your breath I'll breathe, your kiss I'll feed
As your fingers touch my hand.

I yearn to see the moon you see,
The stars you wish upon.
The serenity that you give to me
When setting suns are done.

A sky of trees umbrellas me,
I look into the night.
But clouds of leaves, will not concede
And hide you from my sight.
